Description
MortonScarr obtained planning approval for this 5-bedroom replacement dwelling on an elevated site overlooking the Sussex coastline. Designed as an ‘upside down’ house, the primary living spaces are located on the upper floors, accessed by a pedestrian entrance bridge and taking full advantage of the stunning views the site has to offer.
Carefully terraced landscaping helps to bed the building into the sloping site, whilst a set back third storey adds a luxurious master suite with an ensuite, dressing area and storm room to watch the weather as it rolls in along the coast.
The building is finished in a robust palette of pale grey brickwork, dark ribbed composite cladding and powder coated metal, intended to provide a contrast of colour and texture and age well over time.
Construction work commenced in summer 2021.
