Description
Located on a busy red route in Peckham, South London, this site originally housed an old Victorian villa which had become neglected and run down.
The villa has been replaced with a four-storey contemporary apartment block consisting of a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom flats. Each has a private balcony and access to a large landscaped garden space to the rear of the building.
After completing the design, MortonScarr was appointed to complete the interior design of the show unit for the scheme. Used as a marketing tool for the developer, the show flat needed to capture the imagination of prospective buyers while the building works were still completing on site.
Along with the full interior design, MortonScarr was also responsible for the procurement and installation on site. The design was based around a contemporary colour palette and minimal, yet homely feel. Each room was then allowed to have its own theme, whist still using the overarching design principals.
Feature lighting was added in each room with the use of dropped pendants and floor lamps to help highlight the key areas.
